6 月 28 日任天堂迷你直面会上育碧公开了旗下“马力欧+疯狂兔子”系列新作《马力欧+疯兔 星耀之愿》发售日为 10 月 20 日，官方现放出了本作 6 分钟玩法介绍视频。 视频地址《马力欧+疯兔 星耀之愿》与前作最标志性的不同之处是，本作取消了“地图格子”设定，此外新增了酷霸王、疯兔萝洁塔等新角色，玩家可以从九名角色中挑选三位组建队伍，在银河系进行战斗、探索、解谜。官方还请到了日本作曲家下村阳子、曾为“光环”系列和《精灵与森林》作曲的 Gareth Coker 来为本作配乐。
