At noon on February 11, Beijing Time, SpaceX filed an application for authorization with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), opening a new window for its ambitious global satellite broadband data network. The application was submitted on behalf of its sister company SpaceX Services, hoping to license as many as 1 million Earth stations to use Starlink satellites to provide customers with Internet access. These earth stations will be used for signal transmission with the Starlink satellite group.
