Journey to the Savage Planet was first announced at the TGA Awards in 2018, and the game was developed by a new studio called Typhoon Games. Although "Wild Planet Tour" is their first game, many developers in the studio are veterans of the game industry who have been scrambling for many years, with the participation of senior employees from well-known factories such as Ubisoft and EA.
