Microsoft has extended the warranty of its second-generation Xbox elite handle due to complaints from buyers. The warranty period will be extended from the previous 90 days to one year with immediate effect. Retroactive modification applies to all 2nd generation Xbox elite handles shipped since November 2019. Microsoft said that the previous payment for warranty maintenance will be refunded before October 31, 2020. Microsoft wrote on the Xbox support website: we have received information that a small number of our customers have encountered mechanical problems when using their 2nd generation Xbox elite handle. To ensure your satisfaction, we extend the warranty period of 2nd generation Xbox elite handle from 90 days to 1 year from the date of purchase. The durability of Microsoft's 1-generation Xbox elite handle has been criticized. Handle peeling and rocker drift are common problems reflected by buyers. However, users of the 2nd generation elite handle have expressed concern since its launch. The problems they encountered include button sticking or no response, unstable connection and rocker drift.
