According to Fast Company, a recent paper on machine learning shows that artificial intelligence (AI) allows us to see ahead of time what we will look like as we age. Aging is a natural process of growth for all of us. But with artificial intelligence, we can see ahead of time our future wrinkles, age spots and flabby skin. Researchers from the University of Arkansas, Clemson University, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Concordia in Canada recently published a new paper on machine learning, explaining how AI predicts the future aging of characters in videos based on current input videos. The system is trained on a large photo data set that contains photos of individuals of different ages. Then reinforcement learning (a technique that rewards AI models when they perform tasks correctly) is introduced, and synthetic features (such as wrinkles) are added.
